Kelsey Mckenchie decided to import Virgin Oak barrels from Kentucky and store The Balvenie The Sweet Toast of American Oak Scotch Whisky 12 Year Old in them to get the complete texture, taste, and toasting. The Balvenie The Sweet Toast of American Oak Scotch Whisky 12-Year-Old Scotch Whisky is filled with Balvenie aged in ex-bourbon barrels. The taste of The Balvenie The Sweet Toast of American Oak Scotch Whisky 12-Year-Old Scotch Whisky has a candied fruity taste, with coconut, and delicate vanilla. The smell of The Balvenie The Sweet Toast of American Oak Scotch Whisky 12-Year-Old Scotch Whisky has scents of malt, sweet fudge, citrusy fruit, oaky vanilla, with spicy oak, ginger, and cinnamon. The taste has flavors of candied orange, lemon peel, vanilla toffee, and butterscotch. There are layers of blossom honey, brown sugar, and oak spices. The finish has a rich and malty taste of oak vanilla and subtle spice. The cask type carries flavors of bourbon and is finished in Virgin American Oak to get that earthy taste.
