Description
Started by two brother-in-laws from New Zealand, the two sat in bars and lounges for a year discussing their wish to craft their own gin. Scapegrace Black Gin is crafted using deep well water from the Southern Alps in New Zealand. Scapegrace was originally crafted using a 19h century whisky still which they discovered and repaired. Scapegrace Gin is the world’s first naturally dark gin which changes color when mixed. Made with 12 botanicals, the colors and flavors come from extracts including Aronia Berry, Saffron, Pineapple, Butterfly Pea and Sweet Potato. The aroma is thick with notes of sap and juniper with earthy and tropical notes. The palate is full-bodied and crisp with the natural chill of menthol alongside floral, citrus and spicy notes. The finish is sweet and velvety smooth, with hints of sweet potato, citrus and pineapple. When mixed, this
beautiful gin shifts from its natural blackcolor to beautiful shades of red and purple. Scapegrace Black Gin is a gold-medal winning spirit, taking home medals from both London and San Francisco Spirits Award Competitions. Try this gin with a bit of tonic water and a slice of green apple!
