Sandeman 10 Year Old Tawny Port began with George Sandeman, a young Scot from Perth. He did not have much money, so he borrowed £300 from his father. In 1790, he used it to start a wine business in London. His drive and hard work paid off. The Sandeman name grew into a respected house for port and top quality wine.

This tawny is a blend of wines aged between 9 and 12 years. It is made from classic Douro grapes, such as Touriga Franca and Tinta Roriz. The wines mature in oak casks at Sandeman’s cellars in Vila Nova de Gaia, Portugal. The team blends them with care to keep the same style each time. The result is a smooth, flavorful top quality port wine.

In the glass, it shows a red tawny color with brick tones. The aroma mixes ripe fruit, jam, and nuts. Hints of vanilla and raisins follow. On the palate, it feels full-bodied and inviting. The finish is long and lasting. Serve it slightly chilled. Enjoy it with dinner, at family gatherings, or at any celebration.
