Heaven's Door Bootleg Editions are part of a series of releases intended to display artistry and masterfully unique bourbon creations. This artistry is reflected in the packaging: the Bootleg Series Vol III is bottled in a beautiful, handmade ceramic bottle featuring a painting by Bob Dylan. The featured artwork depicts brilliant coloration and bold brush strokes, showing a boat scene from the shore. Each bottle is individually numbered and comes with an ornate handmade leather journal featuring details which reflect Southern Spanish Architecture. The third installment of the Bootleg Series is a cask strength 13 year old Kentucky bourbon, headed by Heaven’s Door master blender Ryan Perry. After finishing in Vino de Naranja Casks for a year, the mature bourbon has developed a unique deep amber hue. The casks impart a subtle sweet character and deepen the aged bourbon's complexity. The aroma is intense yet approachable, with notes of rye, butterscotch, and peaches. The palate includes sweet and spicy notes including pepper, black cherry, toasted oak and honey. The finish is sweet and creamy with lingering notes of orange, cocoa, cinnamon, and biscuit. With only around 3,949 bottles released, this rare release from their bootleg series is a one-of-a-kind bourbon well-worth trying!
