Description
In February 2002 the Four Roses Bourbon brand was revived when Kirin Brewery Company, Ltd. purchased trademark and production facilities. With roots all the way back to 1884, Four Roses quickly earned the reputation of being one of the most notable names in the
Bourbon world. The founder, Paul Jones, Jr., saw “Four Roses” as a symbol of his devout passion for a woman he loved, and thereafter this passion was transferred to making his beloved Four Roses Bourbon. Modern master Distiller, Brent Elliot, continues this legacy in every batch. The 2021 Four Roses Limited Edition Barrel Strength Release is Non-chill filtered and bottled at a 114.2 proof. This small batch features a 16-year-old Bourbon from their OBSV recipe, a 14-year-old OBSQ, a 12-year-old OESK, and a 16-year-old OESV. The aroma is of ripe berries and work oak with light floral accents. The palate has layers of plum and orange peel with a delicate spice, leading into a finish with vanilla cream and dark chocolate. Mellow, complex, and beautifully crafted, this whiskey is enjoyable by itself
