Description
Casey Jones Distillery is inspired by the man himself- a man who developed and sold uniquely square copper moonshine stills that were efficient and easy to break down in case a ‘shiner needed to leave quickly. The craftsman built sills all over Golden Pond, Kentucky for over 30 years, and moonshine from there became known as the best around, often making its way to the infamous Al Capone. Casey Jones’ grandson, Arlon Casey Jones, became inspired by his grandfather's ingenuity and passion and began crafting and producing moonshine in the original copper still from a recipe passed down through generations. The passionate spirit of Casey Jones is shown in the Barrel Cut Double Barrel. This homage to moonshine is a barrel aged expression with a lovely taste and liviness. Double Barrel Cut has a mash bill of Kentucky corn, sugarcane, and yeast combined with natural limestone filtered water. This remarkable expression is full-bodied and surprisingly
smooth bourbon with notes of corn, sweet tobacco and hints of bourbon along with strong oakey, smokey and woodsy notes imparted by the double barrel process. Enjoy it simply over ice or with your favorite mixer!
