Sagittarius: Noble Pisco Recipe

Freedom-loving Sagittarians may be familiar with this drink from their travels abroad! Our Mixtrology horoscope for Sagittarius is the Noble Pisco, a cocktail that really shows off Pisco, a type of aguardiente, or South American distilled brandy. One of the most famous South American cocktails, this Pisco Sour is a delicious way to have a drink and broaden your horizons at the same time! Sagittarians will love this opportunity to experience another place’s culture from the comfort of their own kitchens.

Claimed by both Chile and Peru as their national drink, this cocktail originated with an American bartender who decided to create a local spin on the American classic whiskey sour. Generous Sagittarius will surely love to mix up a Noble Pisco for any of their friends, and with a drink this easy, it can be done in a snap! Egg whites create a wonderful frothy texture, and angostura bitters adds flavor and makes for a striking garnish on top of the egg white foam. Take a trip to South America while staying at home and enjoy the sweet and sour flavor of a Noble Pisco!

Serving: 1

Ingredients:

• 2.5 oz pisco

• 1 oz freshly squeezed lime juice

• 1 oz simple syrup    

• 1 egg white

• 2 dashes of bitters

1. Combine pisco, lime juice, syrup, and egg white in a cocktail shaker filled with ice. Shake vigorously to chill well.

2. Strain into a rocks glass over ice, or into a stemmed glass for a high-class look.

3. Shake a few dashes of bitters onto the egg white foam for a beautiful contrasting garnish.
