Pisces: Spisces Margarita

While Pisces may be known for being one of the gentler signs in the zodiac, our Mixtrology Cocktail series horoscope for Pisces is anything but! Our recommendation for folks born under the sign of the fish is a Spisces Margarita. This recipe takes a classic margarita and adds in the spicy bite of a serrano pepper for a surprising kick. Easily made and easily altered, this margarita recipe is a fantastic choice to go along with a homemade Mexican meal. 

Pisces are thought to be artistic, so show off your creative talents by making your own adjustments to this cocktail! If this drink gets a little too spicy for you, then we recommend substituting with jalapeno instead! Make this drink your own by mixing up flavors! Adding different fruit juices into this cocktail can help you create a rainbow of variations that you can call your own. Rub a citrus wedge on the edge of a glass and dip the rim into some coarse salt for the classic margarita presentation we all know and love.

Ingredients:

• 2 oz silver tequila

• 1 oz fresh lime juice

• 1 oz simple syrup

• ½ tsp orange liqueur

• Serrano pepper sliced into rounds

1. Combine your favorite silver tequila, lime juice, simple syrup, orange liqueur, and sliced serrano in a cocktail shaker filled with ice.

2. Shake well until fully chilled, then strain into a chilled glass (don’t forget the salt rim!).

3. Garnish with serrano pepper slices and a lime wedge, and enjoy!
