TRICK OR TREAT COCKTAILS
Halloween is a time for trick or treats and some yummy cocktails that are super neat. There are so many fun drinks to create on your own that will surely make your party the talk of the town. A fun one to try is the ‘Peach Candy Corn Cocktail.’ You will layer ¾ ounce grenadine, 1 ounce pineapple juice, 1 ½ ounces whipped cream vodka, and 2 ounces IZZE Sparkling Peach in a glass. Top with whipped cream and candy corn pieces. It’s colorful, sweet, and quite the tasty treat for a fun Halloween party. ‘The Gravedigger’ is all the rave; you stir 1 ½ parts CRUZ Resposado Tequila, ½ part mezcal, ¾ part fino sherry, and ½ part pear liqueur. Strain over a large ice cube (skull shaped is best) in a glass, garnish with an edible flower or a lemon twist. For a bloody treat, try the ‘V-blood.’ You will make injection syringe shots using 1 ounce of Absolut vodka and ¾ grenadine. Pour 3 ounces of 7-up into an old fashioned glass with an ice cube and a lemon slice. Inject the vodka shot from the syringe into the glass. It’s fun to make, and really tasty on the palate.
If you like to decorate, then have a ‘Sugarsnake.’ It’s green with a bit of red squiggles that will make for a fun drink. You will reduce 1 cup of Black Raspberry Sparkling Ice with 2 tablespoons of white sugar into thick syrup. Drizzle syrup over the interior and exterior of a cocktail glass. Chill with 1 part Wicked White Whiskey and 2 parts Kiwi Strawberry Sparkling Ice. Garnish with 2 kiwi slices. It looks like a gooey goblin treat. For a simple, yet pretty cool looking drink, make a ‘spiced orange pumpkin bowl.’ You will take a medium sized pumpkin, and hollow out the middle, then fill halfway with ice. Pour 4-8 bottles of Crabbie’s Spiced Orange Alcoholic Ginger Beer inside. Top with sliced oranges. If you want to get really fancy, you can freeze orange juice in ice cube trays to use as the ice for the shot glass. The flavor is calming and delightful. Enjoy these tasty treats today.
