Description

In 1983, founders Tony and Herta Peju bought thirty acres in the famed Rutherford district of the Napa Valley. While raising their family, they planted a vineyard, worked hard and sacrificed in order to build up their winery. To this day Peju is family-owned by their daughters Ariana and Lisa. Meticulous and quality-driven, the sisters consistently push for innovation. Known for its landmark tower and warm hospitality, Peju winery is integral to the landscape of Napa Valley. This Cabernet Sauvignon from Peju is a bold and exciting representation of the Napa Valley Cabernet Sauvignon. From aging in 18 months in both French and American Oak, the wine carries aromas of tobacco, clove, and leather. The Palate is grippingly juicy with notes of black cherry and ripe plum leading into notes of black fruit compote highlighted by powerful tannin depth. Slow roasted steak with a red wine reduction and asparagus, or grilled lamb with fresh rosemary and thyme.
