Some vintages include a splash of \u003ca href=\"https:\/\/cwspirits.com\/collections\/merlot\"\u003eMerlot\u003c\/a\u003e or Petit Verdot. It rests about 19 months in French oak and is bottled unfiltered.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eExpect ripe dark berries and cherry on the nose. On your palate, blackberry meets chocolate and warm spice. Fine-grained tannins keep it firm yet smooth. The finish is long and lingers with spice.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eWe carry more than one vintage, so the details change a little. Decanter gave the 2021 vintage 91 points. It found huckleberry, kirsch and cedar, with chocolate, dried herbs and spice.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eOpen it about 30 minutes before dinner.
