Description

Maison Louis Latour Meursalt blanc comes from the Côte de Beaune, from the largest southern white wine regions within the Côte-d'Or. The southeastern weather and the stony, carbon-rich soil ripen this varietal to its pinnacle. Typically matured a bit sooner than wines from Puligny and Chassagne, the vines grown here result in a rich, mellow wine. Maison Louis Latour ferments their Meursault in 15% new, french, medium toasted oak barrels from the Louis Latour cooperage for around 8 to 10 months, using malolactic fermentation. This white wine is a pale yellow, with aromas of toasted brioche and fruit. The palate is full-bodied with vanilla and almond nuttiness. The finish has a strong minerality. For pairing, the team at CWS suggests grilled sea bass or a poultry dish with a white sauce.
